Head of Policy and Government Affairs at Vault12

Anastasia Popova has extensive experience in strategy consulting, policy and government affairs, and political campaign management. Anastasia worked as a High-Tech and Government Relations Strategy Consultant from November 2016 to present. In addition, they served as the Head of Policy and Government Affairs at Vault12 from June 2018 onwards.

Prior to their consulting roles, Anastasia founded the Discussion Clubs, a network of think tanks where the Russian-speaking community in the United States discussed political, economic, and cultural developments in Russia with leading figures in these fields. This initiative was started in October 2015, and Anastasia's involvement in it is ongoing.

Anastasia was also a member of the Global Shapers Community from April 2014 to February 2020, where they contributed to various projects and initiatives.

Earlier in their career, Anastasia worked in the Russian State Duma elections in 2016, spearheading a public awareness campaign in the United States for an opposition candidate. Anastasia also held positions in the State Duma, serving as an Expert in the Subcommittee of Innovations and Venture Capital Expert in the Committee of Economy Development from April 2012 to September 2016. Additionally, they worked as the Chief of Staff and Political Aide to a former Member of Parliament within the same period.

Anastasia's experience also extends to campaign management roles in various elections. Anastasia served as the Campaign Manager in the elections of governor of Novosibirsk in 2014, the elections of mayor of Novosibirsk from November 2013 to April 2014, and the elections of mayor of Moscow from May 2013 to July 2013.

Anastasia began their career as a Counter-terrorism bureau analyst in the Department of New Challenges and Threats at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and held this position from February 2012 to April 2012.

Anastasia Popova completed their education at the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Ministry for Foreign Affairs from 2010 to 2012, earning a master's degree in International Relations and Affairs. Before that, they attended Saint Petersburg State University from 2005 to 2010, where they completed a specialist level degree in History.
