Charlie Malam has extensive work experience in sports writing and journalism. Charlie began their career as a Senior Contributor at GiveMeSport in 2013, where they wrote articles on various football topics. In 2014, they joined VAVEL.com as Deputy Editor In Chief, overseeing Premier League coverage and ensuring smooth operations. Charlie also worked as a Staff Writer at Express Newspapers, covering a range of sports, with a focus on football, Formula One, and tennis. Charlie has written for their university's journalism website, StaffsLive, since 2015, and has also utilized their personal Wordpress website to showcase their best work. Charlie has contributed to Sportlobster as a Blogger and World Cup Correspondent, specifically covering the Chile national team. Additionally, Charlie had a unique opportunity to shadow journalists at The Crewe Alexandra Football Club Company Ltd. for their JPT Final Press Day in 2013.

Charlie Malam attended Ruskin High School from 2007 to 2012. During this time, they studied various subjects including Maths, Triple Science, History, Art, English Language & Literature, Media Studies, R.E, and Business. After completing their studies at Ruskin High School, Charlie attended South Cheshire College from 2012 to 2014. Charlie pursued a GCSE degree and focused on subjects such as Media Studies, History, English Language (AS and A2), and Critical Thinking (AS only). Finally, from 2014 to 2017, Charlie pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Sports Journalism at Staffordshire University.
