Volunteers Around The World Global Intern at VAW Global Health Alliances

Gabriella Faircloth is an undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering at Vanderbilt University, expected to graduate in May 2025. Currently, Gabriella serves as an Undergraduate Researcher in The Young Lab and The Lippmann Lab, focusing on metabolic engineering and hydrogels, with significant contributions including the confirmation of Gelatin-Methacrylate hydrogel as a supportive material for mesenchymal stem cell growth. Additionally, Gabriella is an Undergraduate Research & Design Fellow at The SyBBURE Searle Undergraduate Research Program and a Global Intern with VAW Global Health Alliances, where responsibilities include facilitating patient care in Guatemala. Prior experience includes research in the Pua Lab at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, working on gene expression regulation through small non-coding RNAs. In a leadership capacity, Gabriella also served as the Fundraising Chairperson for Experience Vanderbilt, successfully raising funds to support interns.
