Dr. Stefan Gravenstein is a Professor of Internal and Family Medicine at Case Western Reserve University. Stefan also serves as the interim Chief of the Division of Geriatrics and Palliative Care, and the Director of the Center for Geriatrics and Palliative Care at the university. Prior to joining Case Western Reserve University, they were a Professor of Medicine and Health Services, Policy and Practice at Brown University. Dr. Gravenstein's research focuses on vaccines and infectious diseases in older adults, as well as quality improvement and care transitions research. Stefan is also a Clinical Director at Healthcentric Advisors, where they lead quality improvement initiatives, including care transitions, Interact II, patient safety, HAI, and public reporting.
Stefan Gravenstein received a Master of Arts from Brown University, a Master of Public Health from Old Dominion University, and a Geriatrics Fellowship from William S. Middleton VAMC. Stefan also completed an Internal Medicine Residency Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Doctor of Medicine at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Stefan Gravenstein began their educational career with a Bachelor of Science in Health Science from Case Western Reserve University and continued their studies with a Pre-Medicine/Pre-Medical Studies degree from the University of Florida.
