William Sun serves as the Senior Director at Vaxart, Inc., where leadership of the Molecular Virology group has resulted in a 50-fold enhancement in adenoviral vector-based vaccine potency and the implementation of nanopore sequencing for adenoviral genome monitoring. Prior experience includes roles as Team Leader and Principal Research Scientist at the Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology, A*STAR, where William directed teams in antibody engineering and stem cell technology, developed automated antibody discovery platforms, and contributed to successful licensing of bispecific antibodies for gastric cancer. Additional experience encompasses a Group Leader position at the Experimental Therapeutics Centre, A*STAR, where William managed research teams and collaborated extensively on projects involving human embryonic stem cells and monoclonal antibodies. Earlier roles included project management at ES Cell International and senior scientist responsibilities at Metabasis Therapeutics, focusing on drug discovery for liver-related diseases.
