Charlotte Sweeney

Charlotte Sweeney is the current Head of Formulation & Analytical at Vaxxas. Charlotte has been with the company for 9 years and 10 months, during which time they have held various titles, including Head of Formulation & Analytical, Formulation/Analytical manager, Senior Biomedical engineer (formulation & coating), and Biomedical engineer (coating process).

Prior to joining Vaxxas, Charlotte worked as a Process Engineer II at Alkermes, where they were responsible for developing and executing process development studies focused on studying critical parameters to ensure that process conditions were consistent and not at “edge of failure”. Charlotte also prepared, executed, analyzed and controlled all Process Development & Engineering documentation required during assigned development/scale-up activities.

Before that, Charlotte worked as an Environmental Chemist at Complete Laboratory Solutions for 1 year and 2 months.

Charlotte began their career as an R&D Engineer at Boston Scientific, where they worked for 7 years and 6 months.

Charlotte Sweeney has a postgraduate diploma from the University of Ulster in Environmental Toxicology and a Bachelor of Science from the National University of Ireland in Galway in Chemistry.
