Senior Preclinical Scientist at Vaxxas

Paula Ting-Yu Kuo has a diverse work experience in the field of scientific research and academia. Paula Ting-Yu is currently employed as a Preclinical Scientist at Vaxxas since November 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Cambridge from June 2020 to September 2021. Paula Ting-Yu also served as a Postdoctoral Scientist at The Babraham Institute from April 2019 to June 2020 and as a Research Officer at the Translational Research Institute Australia from July 2018 to December 2018.

Paula completed their PHD at The University of Queensland, where they researched on the immunity in HPV induced cervical cancer under the guidance of Prof. Ian H. Frazer. Paula Ting-Yu also worked as a Tutor at the university from August 2015 to December 2017. Additionally, they gained internship experience at Vaxxas from January 2017 to April 2017 and worked as a Research Assistant at Academia Sinica, Taiwan from August 2014 to April 2015.

Paula Ting-Yu Kuo completed their education with a Master of Science degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from National Yang Ming University, which they attended from 2012 to 2014. In 2015, they enrolled in The University of Queensland, where they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Immunology and successfully completed it in 2017.
