Jay Vora Pharmd

Jay Vora, PharmD, MBA has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. Jay is currently serving as a Board Member at NC MedAssist since 2022. Prior to this, they were the Pharmacy Director of NC Medicaid Managed Care Programs at Vaya Health starting in 2021.

From 2016 to 2021, they worked at UNC Health, first as a Clinical Pharmacist and then as a Pharmacist, Clinical Coordinator. Jay'sresponsibilities included pharmacy benefit services such as formulary maintenance and plan design, as well as coordinating learner activities within the Managed Pharmacy Solutions team.

Before joining UNC Health, Jay Vora worked as a Pharmacist at Gurleys Pharmacy from 2014 to 2015. Jay also gained experience as a Pharmacist at Walgreens from 2013 to 2014 and at Kerr Drug from 2012 to 2013. At Kerr Drug, they also completed their PGY1 Community Pharmacy Practice Residency from 2012 to 2013.

Jay Vora started their career in the pharmaceutical industry as a Pharmacy Intern at Walgreens from 2006 to 2012. Jay assisted in the growth of the transplant pharmacist position and provided patient counseling, data entry, prescription processing, and customer service.

Additionally, Jay Vora worked as a Lab Assistant at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2006 and as a Sandwich Artist at Subway from 2005 to 2006.

Jay Vora, PharmD, MBA, pursued their education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 2007 to 2012. During this time, they completed a Pharm D. degree in the field of Pharmacy. Subsequently, in 2018, Jay enrolled at East Carolina University, where they successfully earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
