Rhonda Cox

EVP & Chief Population Health Officer at Vaya Health

Rhonda Cox has a diverse work experience, starting in 1998 as a Staff Psychologist in various prisons. Rhonda then worked at the Smoky Mountain Center LME as a Regional Lead Community Based Clinician and later became a Lead Community Based Clinician, overseeing clinical and case management teams. Rhonda developed and launched the Care Coordination Department and provided supervision for care coordination initiatives. Rhonda joined Vaya Health in 2011 as a Sr. Director of Care Coordination, where they expanded the department and implemented whole person and integrated care initiatives. In 2017, they became the EVP & Chief Population Health Officer at Vaya Health, responsible for the strategic direction and coordination of all care management and population health components.

Rhonda Cox obtained a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from Appalachian State University from 1996 to 1998. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Biology/Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, attending from 1992 to 1994.
