Teun Plegt

Teun Plegt is an experienced finance professional currently serving as Finance Director/CFO at VBI since September 2023. Previously, Teun held the positions of CFO/COO at IJssel Technologie from March 2020 to September 2023, where responsibilities included financial oversight, HR, IT, and facilities management, as well as executing a reorganization post-Corona pandemic that achieved a 10% reduction in costs. Teun also led the divestment and acquisition of subsidiaries and implemented an ERP system. From June 2013 to January 2020, Teun was CFO at Almatis, focusing on the transition of financial operations and complete refinancing after a change in ownership, along with budgeting and risk management. Earlier career roles include various finance positions at BHP Billiton WA Iron Ore Pty Ltd and KPMG Nederland, cementing a strong foundation in financial management and audit. Teun holds a Certified Accountant degree from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Groningen.
