Brian Ocfemia

Brian Ocfemia has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Brian currently works at VC3 as the Director of Service, a position they started in September 2022. Prior to their current role, Brian held the position of Service Manager at VC3 from July 2020 to September 2022.

Brian's previous experience includes working at Sophicity, where they served as an Engineering Manager from December 2017 to July 2020. Before that, they worked as a Technical Account Manager from July 2013 to December 2017 and as a Senior Network Engineer from January 2013 to July 2013. Brian also worked as a Network Infrastructure Consultant at Sophicity from December 2010 to December 2012.

Before joining Sophicity, Brian worked at Wichita Technical Institute as an Instructor/Network Administrator from January 2003 to May 2010. Prior to that, they worked at Education America as an Instructor from 2000 to 2002.

In terms of their educational background, Brian started their career as a Graduate Research Assistant at Kansas State University from June 1997 to May 2000. Brian also worked as a Graduate Teaching/Research Assistant at The University of Alabama at Birmingham from September 1994 to May 1997. Furthermore, Brian worked as an Instructor at the University of the Philippines at Los Banos from June 1993 to August 1994.

Brian Ocfemia completed their PhD coursework/QE in Engineering at Kansas State University from 1997 to 2001. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Physics from the University of Alabama at Birmingham from 1994 to 1997. Brian'sundergraduate education consists of a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Applied Physics from the University of the Philippines, where they studied from 1989 to 1994.

In addition to their formal education, Brian Ocfemia has obtained several certifications. These include the Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) - Windows Server 2008 from Microsoft, which they received in April 2012. Brian also holds the Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) - Server Administrator on Windows Server 2008 certification, which they obtained in August 2010. Brian has further certifications in various Microsoft technologies, such as the Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) - Windows Server 2008 Active Directory, Configuration (August 2010) and the Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) - Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure, Configuration (June 2010). Additionally, they hold the Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) - Microsoft Windows Vista, Configuration certification (December 2008). Furthermore, Brian Ocfemia has received the Network+ certification from CompTIA in January 2008 and the A+ certification from CompTIA in November 2003.
