Wafa Taftazani

Wafa Taftazani has a diverse work experience across various companies and roles. In 2015, they were a Board Member, former Chairman & Y20 Delegate at Indonesian Youth Diplomacy. They then joined Google in 2017, where they held roles such as Manager and Lead in Strategic Partnerships for YouTube. At Google, they also served as Lead for Asia-Pacific Partnerships. In 2018, Wafa co-founded Modal Rakyat and held the position of Co-Founder & President Commissioner. They also worked at FAZZ Financial Group as a Senior Advisor starting from March 2020. In 2021, Wafa became a Co-Founder & Chairman at VCGamers, and in 2022, they founded UpBanx (YC W22) and held the position of Founder & CEO. Wafa also joined RANS Ventures as a Director in 2022. They are currently an Advisor at Bebasinvestasi and a Lecturer at Universitas Indonesia, starting in July and August 2022, respectively.

Wafa Taftazani completed a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science & International Relations from Universitas Katolik Parahyangan (UNPAR) between 2008 and 2012. Later, in 2015 and 2016, Wafa pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Strategy & Marketing from the University of Cambridge. In 2022, Wafa joined the Winter Batch at Y Combinator, where the field of study is not specified.
