Mark Hickman

Mark Hickman is a seasoned professional in government relations and community affairs, currently serving as the Senior Director of State Government Relations at VCU Health since January 2022. Previously, Hickman held the position of Director of Government & Political Affairs at Commonwealth Strategy Group, a firm specializing in public policy issues in Virginia, from October 2016 to January 2022. Additional experience includes a role as Senior Manager of Government & Community Affairs at the Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce and Program Manager for ConnectVA at the Partnership for Nonprofit Excellence. Mark Hickman's career began as a Corporate Paralegal at Hunton & Williams LLP from June 2007 to May 2011. Hickman earned a B.A. in Leadership Studies and Spanish from the University of Richmond.
