Ron Passmore

Ron Passmore, NRP, TS-C, serves as an EMT Paramedic Instructor at Virginia Commonwealth University since May 2022. At VCU Health, Passmore holds dual roles as a Surgical Technologist (Clin III) and Trauma Tech - Paramedic in the Level 1 Trauma Center Emergency Department since September 2018. Additionally, Passmore has been the Director of Regulation and Compliance Enforcement Division at the Virginia Dept of Health Office of Emergency Medical Services since April 2018. Previously, Passmore was the Lead Faculty for the Paramedic Program at Southwest Virginia Community College from August 2011 to April 2018 and served as the Chief of Emergency Medical Services at Galax-Grayson Emergency Medical Services until April 2018. Passmore also owned The Galax Smokehouse from 2003 until its sale to employees in March 2018. Educational qualifications include an Associate of Science in Emergency Medical Technology/Technician from Southwest Virginia Community College and a certificate in Emergency Medical Technology/Technician from Polk State College.
