Troy Mothershead

Troy Mothershead is an experienced human resources professional with a career spanning several decades. Currently serving as the Director of Human Resources at VCU Health since June 2021, Troy has been instrumental in the integration of Tappahannock Hospital into the organization. Troy's tenure at Riverside Health System began in April 2019 as the Director, Human Resources Business Partner. Prior to this, Troy operated as a self-employed HR consultant and trainer from January 2018 to April 2019. At Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, Troy held various roles including Director of Human Resources & Employee Relations, where responsibilities expanded to oversee all divisions and manage the volunteer program. Troy's earlier positions included managing roles in the hospitality industry, such as Tavern Manager and Food & Beverage Manager. Troy holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management from James Madison University.
