Michael Voordeckers

Michael Voordeckers is an experienced professional with a diverse background in leadership and strategic roles. Currently serving as Chief Operating Officer and a member of the Directiecomité at vdk bank since June 2016, Michael also holds the position of President of the Board at De Refuge since September 2008. Prior experience includes significant roles at Hill+Knowlton Strategies from April 2011 to May 2016, where Michael served as COO, Strategy Director, and Director of EU Public Affairs, as well as advisory roles at VBO-FEB from March 2004 to March 2011. Michael's legal expertise was established through a tenure as a Lawyer at Storme, Leroy, Van Parys Advocatenassociatie from September 1999 to February 2004 and as an Adviser in the Cabinet of the Minister at FOD Justitie SPF Justice from July 1998 to August 1999. Academically, Michael holds an MBA from Vlerick Business School and a Master in Law from Ghent University.
