Jan Fortuin

Jan Fortuin serves as the Purchasing Director at VDL ETG since April 2011 and is a member of the management team at VDL-ETG Almelo. Previously, Jan held various management positions at Parker Hannifin from April 1994 to March 2011, including Business Unit Manager for Value Added Services and Sales & Systems Manager, where responsibilities encompassed managing sales and hydraulic systems. Jan's career began with a role as Project Manager focused on hydraulic drive technology, followed by positions as Project Engineer, handling technical design and commercial calculations. Jan’s military service was as a Reserve Officer at the Ministry of Defence from September 1992 to January 1994, ultimately achieving the rank of first lieutenant. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology and a beta VWO diploma from Serviam R.K. Scholengemeenschap.
