Gaurav Patel has a strong background in sales and business development, primarily in the automotive industry. Gaurav started their career at VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd. in 2004 as a Channel Sales Manager, responsible for managing sales channels. Gaurav then moved on to become an Area Manager for the Light and Medium Duty (LMD) Business, and subsequently a Regional Sales Manager for the Bus business in the North Region. In 2014, Gaurav took on the role of Retail Business Head in Mumbai, where they successfully grew the retail business from Rs 30 Crore/Annum to Rs 300 Crore/ Annum within 4 years. Gaurav also developed sales and after-sales strategies, opened new retail outlets, and established vehicle repair workshops. In 2018, Gaurav was promoted to Deputy General Manager, where they handled an annual business of Rs 1200 Cr in the North Region for LMD Trucks. Most recently, they served as the Head of Key Accounts and Corporate Sales for the LMD and EV business.

Gaurav Patel briefly attended the Indian School of Business in 2013, focusing on Marketing/Marketing Management. Prior to that, they obtained a PGDBM degree from the Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad between 2002 and 2004. Gaurav also attended Birla Public School in Pilani, although specific years were not specified.
