Maarten Nijland is an experienced professional currently serving as Production Engineering Manager at Veco Precision since March 2015, where previous roles include Lead Process Engineer Electroforming and Application Engineer. Prior to this, Maarten completed a PhD at the University of Twente, focusing on novel methods for patterning epitaxial perovskites while working at the MESA+ Institute for Nanotechnology. Maarten also held positions as a student member involved in evaluating educational quality in Chemical Engineering programs at the University of Twente and as a Research Intern at NTT Basic Research Laboratories, specializing in the analysis of epitaxial graphene. Maarten holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Twente, along with involvement in various volunteer activities related to the field.
