Jurate Lasiene, Ph.D, has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Starting in 1999, they worked as a Manager at Skilt Dekor before transitioning to a Teaching Assistant role at the University of Washington in 2001. During their time at the university, they conducted independent research projects and led a team of students.

In 2010, Jurate joined RIKEN, BSI as a Research Scientist, where they focused on projects related to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Jurate developed research protocols, examined stem cell potential for ALS treatment, and evaluated therapeutic compounds.

From 2011 to 2013, Jurate operated their own business, Chef Du Chateau, where they planned and established a bakery specializing in rye bread and Eastern European sweets. Jurate managed all aspects of the business, including recipe creation, team management, and client relationships.

Jurate then worked as a Scientific Editor at Cactus Communications Pvt. Ltd from 2011 to 2013, assisting clients in improving the integrity and presentation of scientific articles.

In 2013, they joined PSI CRO AG as a CRA, eventually progressing to roles such as Senior Project Manager and Lead Project Manager. Their responsibilities included managing international clinical trials, developing project deliverables, and training and mentoring junior staff.

Most recently, Jurate joined VectivBio AG in 2021 as a Global Clinical Trial Manager and Phase 1 Lead. In this position, they oversee global clinical trial teams, establishes trial metrics and milestones, manages trial budgets and risk mitigation strategies, and maintains relationships with vendors and key opinion leaders. Jurate also provides strategic insights for early-phase clinical trials and identifies opportunities to optimize spending timelines.

Jurate Lasiene Ph.D pursued their education in a chronological order, starting with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature from LCC International University, which they completed between 1995 and 1999. Later on, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Neuroscience at the University of Washington from 2002 to 2009. In addition to their degrees, they obtained certifications in Good Clinical Practice, including one from the CITI Program with a U.S. FDA Focus in March 2023 and another from the Royal Holloway University of London (Infonetica) in 2012.
