Jamil Abo-Shaeer

Jamil Abo-Shaeer has a diverse work experience. From 2018 to present, they have been the CEO of Vector Atomic, where they have managed company operations, government contracts, finances, personnel, and technical activities. Jamil has also developed business strategy and lead development, including identifying funding opportunities, communicating with customers, proposal writing, and recruiting industrial and academic partners. From 2014 to 2018, they were the Vice President of Strategic Planning at AOSense, Inc. From 2010 to 2014, they were a Program Manager at DARPA, where they managed a broad portfolio of high-risk, high-reward programs. From 2006 to 2010, they were an Associate at Booz Allen Hamilton, where they were a key advisor to DARPA program managers and office directors. From 2004 to 2006, they were a Postdoctoral Fellow at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, where they conducted research on the Standard Model of Physics.

Jamil Abo-Shaeer received their Bachelor of Arts in Physics from the University of California, Berkeley between 1997 and 1999. Jamil then went on to earn their Doctor of Philosophy in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology between 1999 and 2004.
