Abhilasha Gupta

Abhilasha Gupta currently serves as a Senior Application Scientist at Vector Biolabs since August 2023. Prior to this role, Abhilasha was a Principal Scientist in Vector Engineering at SwanBio Therapeutics from January 2022 to August 2023, focusing on the development of AAV9 gene therapies for rare neurological disorders. Abhilasha's earlier experience includes positions as a Research Specialist at the University of Pennsylvania's School of Medicine and as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Thomas Jefferson University, where research centered on gene therapy and skin development mechanisms. Abhilasha began a research career as a Graduate Research Assistant at St Vincent's Institute of Medical Research and completed early studies at CSIRO in Australia. Abhilasha holds a PhD in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from St. Vincent's Institute of Medical Research, along with Bachelor's degrees in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology and an Honours degree from the University of Melbourne.
