Farnaz Kohankhaki

Farnaz Kohankhaki is a Machine Learning Specialist at Vector Institute since January 2023, with a robust history in research and development. Previously, at Huawei, Farnaz contributed as an Associate Researcher by creating Bayesian Optimization and Search algorithms for hardware optimization in Tensor Computation and improving auto-scheduler performance through Machine Learning models. As a Research Assistant at the University of Alberta, Farnaz developed a framework for Monte Carlo Tree Search and explored Reinforcement Learning with heuristic search methodologies. Additional experience includes teaching assistant roles at both the University of Alberta and Shahid Beheshti University. Farnaz holds a Master's degree in Computing Science from the University of Alberta and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Shahid Beheshti University.
