Jacob Junqi Tian

Jacob Junqi Tian is an Associate Applied Machine Learning Specialist at the Vector Institute since February 2024, with a focus on memory-efficient techniques and resolving conflicts in machine learning models. Prior experience includes a Research Intern position at Mila - Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute, applying Deep Learning and Natural Language Processing in social and political science. As a Software Developer at McGill University, Jacob maintained the BuddyApp for student mentorship. Previous roles at Vector Institute and McGill University involved building efficient fine-tuning pipelines for large language models and developing user-friendly tools for data mining.
