Vector Institute
Lukas Brunke is currently a Graduate Student Researcher at the Learning Systems and Robotics Lab and a PhD Student at the University of Toronto, with ongoing research since September 2020. Additionally, Lukas has held various research and internship positions, including Research Intern at the Vector Institute, Waabi, and the Volkswagen Group of America, where work involved machine learning and automated driving. Previous experiences include research internships at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems and the Group Research Department for Automated Driving at Volkswagen AG, as well as a visiting student researcher role at the University of California, Berkeley. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Aerospace Science & Engineering from the University of Toronto and a Master of Science in Mechatronics from Hamburg University of Technology, complemented by study abroad programs in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.
