Vahid Zehtab

Vahid Zehtab is a Computer Vision Researcher at Samsung Research America since May 2023 and a Graduate Student Researcher at the Vector Institute since October 2022. At the Vector Institute, Vahid studies diffusion processes and score-based models in deep causal structures and co-developed a fully differentiable Bayesian approach for causal discovery. Previous experience includes serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Toronto, conducting research at Sharif University of Technology on deep probabilistic and generative models, and working as a Machine Learning Engineer at FANAP, where a satellite imagery super-resolution model was developed. Vahid's educational background includes an ongoing MScAC in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Sharif University of Technology.
