Erika Leonard has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Erika is currently the Director of Quality Control and R&D at Vector Laboratories, Inc., where they oversee the evaluation of over 500 manufactured reagents in the quality control department. Erika also directs the development and testing of novel bioreagents for multi-disciplinary research.
Prior to their current role, Erika served as the Director of Quality Control at Vector Laboratories, Inc., where they scheduled daily activities for the QC team and ensured that manufactured reagents met specifications. Erika played a key role in achieving ISO 9001:2015 certification and drafted formal QCT documents.
Before becoming a director, Erika held several positions at Vector Laboratories, Inc., including Senior Manager QC, QC Manager, Senior QC Analyst, and QC Analyst. In these roles, they scheduled daily activities for the QC team, conducted evaluations to meet specifications using immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence, reviewed product testing for efficiency, and implemented standardized test methods, computerized record-keeping, and a QC database.
Erika also has experience as a Laboratory Intern at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and as a Bank Teller at Coast Federal Bank.
Erika Leonard completed their high school education at Moreau High School from 1984 to 1987. Following this, they pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Integrated Biology at the University of California, Berkeley from 1987 to 1992.
