Vadim Kastin has a diverse work experience spanning over 25 years in various quality and regulatory affairs roles in the medical device sector. Vadim is currently the VP of Quality and Regulatory Affairs at Vectorious Medical Technologies since June 2021. Prior to that, they were the Owner/President at AVP Consulting Agency, LLC starting in July 2020. In this role, they led quality assurance efforts and provided expertise in research and development control, regulatory affairs, business quality and compliance, and quality operations.
Between November 2020 and May 2021, Vadim served as the Head of Quality and Compliance and the Management Representative for Quality at Philips, where they focused on developing quality and compliance strategies to enhance customer experience and meet regulatory requirements.
Vadim's previous experience includes positions at Biosense Webster, where they served as the Sr. Director of WW Quality & Compliance from August 2015 to July 2020, the Director of WW Quality from January 2013 to August 2015, and the Director of Quality and Regulatory Affairs from May 2006 to December 2012. In these roles, they had responsibilities such as managing quality assurance functions, representing quality in strategic meetings, and leading quality and regulatory affairs for the entire product lifecycle.
Before joining Biosense Webster, Vadim worked as the Quality Director at CMT from January 2005 to May 2006. Vadim also served as a Lead Auditor at SII-the standards institution of Israel from August 1999 to January 2005, where they conducted certification and follow-up audits for the medical devices industry.
Vadim's early career includes roles as a Quality Manager at Electra from November 1997 to January 1999 and as a Plant Quality Manager at Defence Industries from November 1994 to November 1997.
Throughout their career, Vadim has demonstrated strong leadership capabilities and has expertise in quality systems compliance, regulatory submissions, risk management, and various international standards such as ISO 13485, ISO 14971, and IEC 60601-1.
Vadim Kastin's education history shows a progression of academic achievements. From 1990 to 1993, they attended Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Following this, from 1994 to 1995, Vadim pursued further specialization by completing a certification in Quality Engineering from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. In 1999, they pursued a Master's Degree in Quality Assurance and Reliability, also at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, which they completed in 2002. Finally, from 2009 to 2011, Vadim further expanded their educational background with a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Business management / Planning and marketing, also from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology.
