Alena Varkočková

Alena Varkočková has held various software engineering roles since 2009. Alena began as a Freelance Developer in 2009, where they worked with companies such as Slicktouch and Webtoads. Alena then worked as a PHP Programmer for Imagineo s.r.o. in 2010 and a XHTML/CSS coder, Smarty, Javascript (jQuery) programmer for Cybergenics in 2009. In 2010, they took on the role of Software Development Manager, Senior Software Developer, and Malware analyst at Avast Software. In 2017, they became a Senior Software Engineer at Mesosphere, and in 2021 they are currently a Software Engineer at vectorized.io.

Alena Varkočková graduated from the Czech Technical University in Prague in 2011 with a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering. Alena also holds certifications from edX and Coursera, including a Reliable Distributed Algorithms - Part 1 certification from edX obtained in January 2018, and a Principles of Reactive Programming certification from Coursera obtained in June 2015.
