Dr Amit Kumar Tyagi

Dr. Amit Kumar Tyagi has extensive experience in environmental management and sustainability, currently serving as Vice President & Head of Environment & ESG at Vedanta Limited in the Aluminium Business since December 2021. Prior roles include Section Head & Senior General Manager - Environment at Reliance Industries Limited and Group Head - Environment at TATA Power. Dr. Tyagi’s career began at Envirotech Centre for R&D as an Environment Scientist, followed by positions in various organizations including Jaypee Cement, Vedanta Resources Plc, and Leighton Asia. Dr. Tyagi holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Science from Punjabi University Patiala, a Master of Technology in Environmental Science and Engineering from GJ University, and completed an IMS Lead Auditor Course at the National Institute of Training for Standardization.
