Chan Ekanayake

Chanaka Ekanayake is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in solutions engineering and presales management across various organizations. Currently serving as the Senior Director of Solutions Engineering at Veeam Software since April 2019, Chanaka has significantly contributed to the UK & Ireland sales team's success by enhancing presales efficiencies and leading strategic initiatives such as the global Veeam Hands-On Labs programme. Prior to Veeam, Chanaka held multiple progressively responsible roles at Insight from January 2012 to March 2019, including Senior Practice Manager for AWS, where Chanaka established a new business unit for cloud services. Chanaka’s earlier career includes positions at Barclays, IFG Financial Services LTD, Serco Solutions, and Centrica plc, focusing on strategic IT consulting and solutions architecture. Chanaka holds a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science from the University of Staffordshire.
