Kathy Bayless

Kathy Bayless is a seasoned financial executive with extensive experience in corporate governance and financial management. Currently, Bayless is a member of the Board, Audit, and Nominating/Governance Committees at Ballard Power Systems since December 2021 and serves as a Board member and Audit Committee Chair at Veeco since July 2016. Previously, Bayless held roles such as Audit Chair and Board Member at Energous Corporation from July 2021 to November 2022, and served as SVP CFO and Treasurer at Synaptics from March 2009 to June 2015. Additional experience includes serving as CFO at Western Digital Media, Inc. and EVP/CFO at Komag, where responsibilities encompassed financial planning, SEC reporting, and compliance. Bayless's career in finance began at Ernst & Young, where audit management for technology and healthcare companies was a focal point. Bayless holds a BS in Accounting and Finance from California State University, Fresno.
