Yong Ling

Yong Ling is a seasoned professional in the field of materials science and process development, currently serving as the Director of Technology, Development & Applications at Veeco Instruments since 2012, focusing on process development for MOCVD tools in GaN LED and HEMT device manufacturing. Previous experience includes roles as Director of Process Development at Ysolar PV Technologies, where advancements in CIGS solar technology were made, and as Senior Scientist/Project Manager at Miasole, specializing in thin film CIGS solar technology. Yong Ling's expertise extends to product engineering and technology transfer from a tenure as Senior Manager at Maxwell Technologies and process development management roles at Novellus Systems. Yong Ling began a career in engineering as a Senior Process Engineer at Torrex Equipment Corporation and holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science from Vanderbilt University, along with Master's and Bachelor's degrees from Zhejiang University.
