Tianye Sonia Yao

Tianye Sonia Yao has a wealth of work experience, beginning in 2011 with a role as an Asset Management Summer Analyst at Haitong Securities Co., Ltd. Tianye Sonia then moved on to Hay Group in 2012 as a Strategy Consulting Summer Analyst. In 2013, they took on an Audit Intern role at Deloitte China. From 2015 to 2018, they worked at JustAnswer as an Associate Product Manager, Senior Business Analyst, and Business Analyst. During this same time period, they also worked at Earnest Inc. as a Product Manager and at VeeR VR as both a Head of Product and Product Manager.

Tianye Sonia Yao completed their education history in the following order: they attended High School Affiliated to Fudan University from 2006 to 2008, followed by Kent School from 2008 to 2010, and then University of California, Berkeley from 2010 to 2014, where they obtained a B.A in Applied Mathematics and Economics. Tianye Sonia then pursued a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research at UC Berkeley College of Engineering from 2014 to 2015. In 2014, they also obtained a CFA Level I certification from the CFA Institute.
