Jesse Small

Jesse Small has a diverse work experience in the field of software development. They started their career as a Student Contract Operator at Cenovus Energy in 2015. In 2016, they interned at Nexen as a Software Developer Intern, where they worked on data-driven web and desktop applications using C#, SQL, JavaScript, HTML, and ASP.net. From 2018 to 2021, Jesse worked at IHS Markit as a Software Developer, specializing in full-stack development for data-driven cloud applications using .NET Core, Angular, NodeJS, and AWS infrastructure. Currently, Jesse is working as a Senior Software Developer at VEERUM, where they are responsible for full-stack development for 3D data visualization in a cloud application using NodeJS, React, MongoDB, and AWS infrastructure.

Jesse Small attended the University of Calgary from 2013 to 2018, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree. During their time at the university, Jesse focused on studying Electrical Engineering with a minor in Computer Engineering. In October 2018, they also obtained the certification of Engineer In Training from The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA).
