Symon Oevering

Symon Oevering has a diverse background in web development and software engineering. Symon began their career as an ICT Support specialist at Megacomm Computers and Supplies in 2002. Symon then moved on to PCBO - Tytsjerksteradiel, where they managed the ICT systems for eleven primary schools. In 2006, Symon joined Wilee Techniek - Industrial Automation as a Quality Management specialist, providing solutions for industrial automation and process control. Symon later transitioned to the role of Senior Programmer - Software Engineer at Holiday Velvet, a holiday rental agency. In 2012, Symon started their own freelance web development business, offering custom programming solutions and site optimization. Symon then joined Rentals United in 2013 as a PHP Developer, followed by a position as Lead Backend Developer at Veeve in 2014.

Symon Oevering has a Bachelor's degree in Information and Communication Technology from Noordelijke Hogeschool Leeuwarden, which they obtained in the years 2004 to 2008. Before that, they completed a MBO (Upper Secondary Vocational Education) in Information and Communication Technology Infrastructure Management at ROC Friese Poort, Drachten, Netherlands, from 2001 to 2004. In 2013 and 2014, they pursued further education, including a Master in Design and Development of Web Applications with a focus on JAVA Web development from the National University of Distance Education (U.N.E.D), as well as a Tourism Social Media Marketing program at CdT Marina Alta de Dénia. Additionally, Symon holds certifications in Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) 1 and 2 from Cisco Systems.
