James Wood

James Wood worked as a Senior Golang Developer at Vega Cloud starting in October 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Lead Software Engineer II at Key Technology, Inc. from July 2018 to October 2022. In this role, James was responsible for developing and inventing an AI-based inspection system for the company. James created a system that could detect, mask, and measure products in real-time and also developed an automated training pipeline for training and monitoring imagenet models. Before their position at Key Technology, Inc., James worked as an Analysis and Reporting Analyst in the USAF from October 2009 to December 2012. In this role, they produced actionable intelligence products and managed a sensitive information facility. James also developed an application that significantly reduced the time required for quality assurance of national products.

James Wood attended Walla Walla Community College from 2017 to 2018, where they obtained an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Computer Software Engineering. Prior to that, they studied at Portland State University from 2012 to 2015, although no degree or field of study information is available for this period. Additionally, James Wood obtained certification as a FinOps Certified Practitioner (FOCP) from The Linux Foundation in January 2023.
