Vivek Mital has a diverse work experience in various industries. Vivek is the CEO and Founder of VegaMX Inc., a US-based AI Insights and New Space Technology firm specializing in addressing food, energy, and national security challenges. Vivek has a multinational consortium of experts with expertise in disaster and wildfire management, aviation and space systems, agroforestry, capital markets, banking, physics, and data science. Vivek has led successful projects in space sensor technology, airborne platforms, atmospheric physics, weather/climate modeling, AI/ML, massive data management, and engineering solutions.

Prior to founding VegaMX, Vivek worked as an SVP Senior Compliance Officer - Surveillance at Citi from 2016 to 2018. Vivek was responsible for monitoring and ensuring compliance with regulations. Before that, Vivek was a Consultant at Innovaccer, a Finance Big Data startup, where they focused on product development and market strategy. Vivek utilized big data applications such as fraud detection, surveillance, and risk management using machine learning and artificial intelligence toolkits. Vivek also led a project on implementing MIT's Financial Engineering algorithms for fixed income pricing.

Vivek also has experience in the New Space industry, working as a Consultant at TeamIndus - Axiom Research Labs. Vivek played a leadership role in strategy, product market development, and team building for earth observation/RADAR imaging. Vivek'starget verticals were maritime, disaster management, commodities, and government.

In addition, Vivek has worked as a Consultant at State Street Global Advisors, RBC (Royal Bank Canada) in the Derivatives Portfolio Management Group, Numerix, and IBM. At RBC, they conducted quantitative analysis and developed valuation tools for transitioning to post-crisis OIS based multi-curve modeling. At Numerix, they were responsible for client relationship management, consulting services, and financial product development. At IBM, they served as a Senior Consultant and Quantitative Specialist in the Derivatives Trade Solution group, implementing third-party trading platforms at top-tier banks and hedge funds.

Vivek Mital has a diverse education history spanning multiple institutions and fields of study. Vivek attended Delhi Public School - R. K. Puram from 1977 to 1991, where they completed their High School education focused on Sciences. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Physics Hons from St Stephen's College, Delhi University from 1991 to 1994.

Mital then went on to the University of Mississippi, where they obtained a Master's Degree in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics from 1995 to 1997. Vivek further pursued their education at Washington University in St. Louis, where they obtained a Master's Degree in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics/EE from 1998 to 2001.

Continuing their academic journey, Mital attended Columbia Engineering from 2001 to 2002, obtaining a degree in Financial Engineering with a specialization in Finance. Overall, Vivek Mital has a comprehensive education background encompassing subjects such as physics, engineering, and finance.
