Wolf-Erik Schmitt has extensive work experience in marketing, communication, and IT roles. Wolf-Erik is currently the Director of Marketing & Communication VSG EMEA at VSG, A Dover Company since October 2020. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Strategic Marketing and IT at BlitzRotary GmbH from March 1998 to October 2020. From April 1995 to March 1998, they worked in Marketing & Sales at Fischer Computersystems GmbH & Co. KG. Wolf-Erik also has experience in marketing consulting at DA GAMA, Agency for Interactive Media from April 1994 to March 1995 and at Grey/Gramm, Advertising Agency from August 1992 to January 1993. Additionally, they worked in development & design at DA GAMA, Agency for Interactive Media from February 1991 to August 1991 and in system integration at Fischer Computersystems GmbH & Co. KG from August 1988 to March 1990.

Wolf-Erik Schmitt obtained a Facharbeiterbrief in Electrical Engineering from Staatliche Feintechnikerschule Schwenningen mit TG, where they attended from 1985 to 1988. Later, they pursued further education at Hochschule Furtwangen from 1990 to 1994, earning a Dipl. Informatiker degree in Computer Science in Media.
