Michael Heijnen

Michael Heijnen is a Medisch Adviseur at Veiligheidsregio Gelderland-Zuid since August 2022 and has served as a Gastdocent at Hogeschool van Arnhem en Nijmegen (HAN) since September 2015. Previously, Michael worked as a Physician Assistant specializing in Longchirurgie at Radboudumc from December 2016 to September 2022, and as a Physician Assistant for Cardiac and Thoracic Surgery at the Department of Internal Medicine, Radboud University Nijmegen Medical Centre from September 2009 to September 2022. Michael's early career includes roles as an Ambulanceverpleegkundige at GHOR/SIGMA from September 1994 to 2009 and as an IC verpleegkundige for adults and pediatrics at UMCN St Radboud from 1992 to 1997. Michael began a nursing career in the Royal Netherlands Navy from 1989 to 1990. Michael holds a Master's degree in Physician Assistant from Hogeschool van Arnhem en Nijmegen (HAN), completed between 2009 and 2012.
