Teun Payens

Teun Payens is an experienced Hazmat officer and policy advisor specializing in hazardous materials incident response, currently employed at Veiligheidsregio Haaglanden since January 2019. With a background in education, Teun served as a secondary school chemistry teacher at OSG Schoonoord and has held various educational roles, including examination trainer and teaching assistant. Teun's academic qualifications include multiple degrees from Utrecht University, culminating in a Master's degree in Molecular and Cellular Life Sciences and a teaching qualification in chemistry. Additionally, Teun has contributed to community education programs and scientific outreach, including roles in summer schools and interactive lessons for motivated youth.
