Alex Koerselman

Alex Koerselman is a seasoned data engineer with extensive experience in data management and engineering roles across various companies. Currently serving as a Senior Data Engineer at Veiligheidsregio Kennemerland since May 2024, Alex previously held positions at GS1 Nederland and Victa - Business Intelligence, where contributions included the implementation and optimization of data systems. Alex's career began in a self-employed capacity as a tutor, providing academic assistance in subjects such as mathematics and economics. Early experience included customer support at TomTom and logistical roles at de Bijenkorf. A graduate of Utrecht University with a Bachelor's degree in Human Geography, Alex has developed a robust skill set in data engineering and team management, particularly during a transformative period at GeoPhy, which expanded significantly during Alex's tenure.
