Ruud Elferink

Ruud Elferink is a seasoned professional in public safety and crisis management with extensive experience in various roles. Currently serving as Adviseur Veiligheid at Gemeente Enschede since September 2021, Ruud is involved in CTER and football safety initiatives. With a long tenure at Veiligheidsregio Twente since July 2012, Ruud has held positions including Officier van Dienst Bevolkingszorg, Projectleider for tackling illegal cannabis cultivation, and Teamleider Opvang during crises. Additionally, Ruud was a member of EUROCITIES' working group on substance abuse prevention and has served in various capacities within the fire service and local government. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Traffic Science from Windesheim and specialized training in public order and emergency powers.
