Pedro Garcia

Pedro Garcia serves as the President of the Mining Law Commission at OAB/RJ since 2024 and has been a partner at Veirano Advogados since 1996, where Pedro also leads the mining practice within the Projects, Infrastructure and Natural Resources Group. Additionally, Pedro is a member of the Board of Directors at Veirano Advogados. Previous experience includes a role as a Foreign Associate at Simmons & Simmons from July 2002 to July 2004, focusing on corporate matters, capital markets, and antitrust. Pedro's educational background includes a Master's degree in Banking, Corporate, Finance, and Securities Law from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas, postgraduate studies in EC Competition Law at King's College London and International Contracts at the University of Lisbon, as well as executive education in Leadership in Law Firms from Harvard Law School.
