Scott Visconti

Scott Visconti is the current CTO at Vela. Prior to their current position, Scott was a co-founder at MarketOpen from March 2017 to October 2018. MarketOpen is a comprehensive data analytics and market intelligence platform providing clarity and unique insight on individual securities and global trading venues in the following markets: US equities, US options, cryptocurrencies, European equities, Canadian equities, Australian equities and global futures. The web-based platform provides automated daily data updates on the ever-changing markets for investor relations and market professionals.

Before their time at MarketOpen, Scott was Managing Director Equities IT at BNP Paribas from April 2008 to August 2012. In this role, Scott was responsible for the full software lifecycle of Equity Derivatives & Commodities IT platform comprised of approximately 100 applications servicing front and middle offices, product control, market & collateral risk and compliance functions. Additionally, Scott served as liaison to Operations, Compliance, Audit, Finance, IT Production (infrastructure), Procurement, Legal, and Human Resources departments.

Scott Visconti's educational career includes a Master's in Engineering from New York University - Polytechnic School of Engineering and a Bachelor's in Engineering from Manhattan College, both in Electrical Engineering.

They are on a team with Gerry Turner - Global Head of Platform as a Service, Daniel Rooney - Global Head of Sales, and Brendan O’Sullivan - Global Head of Managed Services. Scott Visconti reports to Jennifer Nayar, CEO.
