Vihanga nivarthana

Vihanga Nivarthana has worked as an Associate UI/UX Engineer at Velaris since June 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a UI/UX Engineer at Sysco LABS Sri Lanka from February 2021 to May 2022. Before joining Sysco LABS, Vihanga worked as a Junior Developer at CYRENE Solutions (Pvt) Ltd. from February 2017 to December 2020.

Vihanga Nivarthana completed a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from SLIIT, which they attended from 2018 to 2022. In addition to their formal education, they obtained various certifications and awards. In January 2022, they received the Merit Award for Tertiary Student Projects (Business) from the National ICT Awards - NBQSA Sri Lanka. In January 2021, they attended a Flutter 5 days Bootcamp and received a certificate from the University of Sindh. In November 2019, they won the Gold award in the Codefest Hackme if You can competition at SLIIT. In November 2018, they achieved the Bronze award in the same competition. In March 2017, they completed a course on penetration testing and ethical hacking from Cybrary. Furthermore, they have a research paper titled "Best Track Research Paper in HCI and Information Systems" which was recognized by IEEE, although the exact date of when it was obtained is not specified.
