Petrina teRiele has extensive experience in human resources, currently serving as a Recruiter at Vermont Electric Power Company (VELCO) since October 2022. Previously, Petrina held the role of Global Human Resources Specialist at Middlebury College from November 2011 to June 2019, managing the International HR function and domestic benefit programs. Prior positions include HR Generalist at Questech Corporation, where responsibilities encompassed all HR functions, and Human Resources Generalist roles at Rutland Regional Medical Center and Middlebury College. Petrina's career began at Central Vermont Public Service, where leadership in various HR capacities, including managing HR functions for numerous operations employees, was notable. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Leadership from College of St. Joseph and an Associate's degree in Business Administration and Management from Castleton University.

Vermont Electric Power Company (VELCO) is Vermont’s statewide electric transmission provider whose sights are set on creating a sustainable Vermont through our people, assets, relationships and operating model. Formed in 1956 when local Vermont utilities established the nation’s first “transmission only” company to access clean hydro power from New York, VELCO remains unique in two important ways: 1. our ownership comprises the state’s 17 distribution utilities and a public benefits corporation; and, 2. our for-profit status is structured to return cooperative-like value to our owners, their customers, and every Vermonter.
