Garrett Schumacher

Garrett Schumacher has a diverse background in product security and academia. Currently serving as Technical Director of Product Security and previously as Lead and Senior Product Security Engineer at Velentium since August 2020, Garrett also co-founded GeneInfoSec Inc. and holds the position of Chief Technology Officer. In the academic arena, Garrett functions as an Adjunct Instructor at the University of Colorado Boulder, teaching courses on cybersecurity, while concurrently fulfilling roles as a Research Associate and Director of Communications & Strategy for the Technology, Cybersecurity and Policy Program. Garrett's educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Integrative Physiology, a Bachelor of Arts in Integrative Physiology, and a College Teaching Certificate from the University of Colorado Boulder.
