Brian Bednarz, MBA, is a seasoned information security professional with extensive experience in security architecture and engineering. Currently serving as Manager of Information Security Engineering at Velera since May 2021, Brian was recognized as the Information Security Champion of the year in 2023. Previously, Brian held various roles at Fiserv from September 2006 to May 2021, including Director of Architecture, Engineering, and Security, where strategic vision and leadership were provided to modernize technology platforms and ensure compliance with key security standards. Brian's early career included contributions as an Information Technology Systems Engineer at GreenState Credit Union, focusing on network redesign and business continuity planning, along with client-facing roles as a Teller and Financial Service Representative. Educational achievements include an MBA and a leadership certificate from The University of Iowa Tippie College of Business, complemented by a BBA in Management Information Systems.
