Lee Swanson

Senior Scientist, Translational Discovery Biology at Velia

Lee Swanson started their work experience as a Research Assistant at the University of Minnesota in May 2011. They then became a Junior Scientist at the same institution in July 2012. In 2014, they joined UC San Diego as a Graduate Research Fellow and later became a Postdoctoral Research Scholar in March 2020. In 2021, they joined Shoreline Biosciences, Inc. as a Scientist I and then advanced to the role of Scientist II in February 2022. Currently, Lee Swanson is working as a Senior Scientist in Translational Discovery Biology at Velia since March 2023.

Lee Swanson completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biochemistry from the University of Minnesota from 2010 to 2012. Afterward, they attended Roosevelt University from 2008 to 2010, although no specific degree or field of study was mentioned. Lee Swanson completed their high school education at Southwest High School from 2004 to 2008. Finally, they pursued a PhD in Biomedical Sciences, with a focus on Cellular and Molecular Biology/Immunology, at UC San Diego from 2014 to 2020.
